First Friday featuring Local Artist, Kate Homan

Indy Reads accepts donations of gently used books on the First Friday of each month from 11am-7pm. On September 2, 2022, local artist Kate Homan will be joining us 2pm-7pm.

Kate Homan is a visual artist based in Indianapolis. Her work spans a variety of media from watercolor, acrylic, and ink to woodworking and hand-engraved glass. Kate has a strong focus on recycling, repurposing, and upcycling in her material choices. From exploring fictional creatures to examining the magic in the mundane, she hopes to illustrate fantastical narrative and everyday beauty alike through art that is accessible, attainable, and functional.
