Helping Hands for Literacy: An All-Ages Volunteer Event

Help us get more books into our communities! Join us on Saturday, October 15th or Sunday October 16th at 12pm to participate in this weekend of service!

About this event

It’s Fall—a time for hot drinks and cozy reading! Indy Reads would like to get more FREE books out to your communities. Here is how you can help us:

  • One person register all of your group names (family, friends, college roommates, co-workers, church members, whoever!) with a free “ticket.” A team can be 1-20 people. Register with Eventbrite here.
  • Stop by Indy Reads on October 15 or 16 from 12pm-3pm to pick up designated books. Please bring any bags or boxes you would like to use to pick up these books. We will have some available, if you do not have any.
  • THEN, distribute them to your local Little Free Libraries! You can go to littlefreelibrary.org and search for your neighborhood to see where they are located.

What are you waiting for?! Get your team together and help us get more books into the hands of Hoosiers.

For more information, please email bookstore@indyreads.org.

Indy Reads is a 501c3 nonprofit. Our mission is to empower adults and their families through literacy, English language skills, and job readiness programming. For more information about Indy Reads and the students we serve, visit our website at indyreads.org.
