Classes, certifications, and more ways to learn with Indy Reads
High School Equivalency (HSE) courses
Our in-person and virtual HSE classes prepare students to earn their HSE diploma by covering all five subjects in the HiSET exam (reading, writing, math, social studies, and science).
English Language Learning (ELL) classes
These in-person and virtual ELL classes support adult learners at all levels of the English literacy spectrum as they develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and comprehension skills to unlock economic and social potential.
Customer Service and Paraprofessional Certifications
Start or change your career with valuable customer service and paraprofessional certifications. There are two courses, and both will help you secure a new or better job.

More ways to get involved
Indy Reads’ current location in Fountain Square is beautiful! So bright and nice and full of books for every taste, age, budget, and genre. Also, there are all kinds of gift options for book lovers. They rotate out different themed sections at small tables for awareness months, seasons, current events, etc. They have a variety of community events, and they accept used book donations the first Friday of the month. Plus, all proceeds support their adult literacy program, so it’s easy to feel great about whatever you buy.
