Indy Reads is thrilled to host local author Brent Dragoo for a reading and signing of his new book, The Book of Blue Daggers, on February 18th at 2pm!

About the Book

Sophie is a young woman suddenly diagnosed with a rare, and lethal, blood disease. Orphaned just after birth, this ambitious art and antiques thief with a dozen different identities in her wallet realizes that the only escape from a slow, certain, and painful death can be found hidden in pages of the enigmatic Book of Blues Daggers.

 But as she contrives a plan to steal the coveted book, she quickly realizes why so many others have become doomed in their quest to find it.  

The Book of Blue Daggers has a mind, and agenda, all its own, and will only allow itself to be put into the hands of those that can further its utterly inscrutable means.   

As Sophie’s life slowly ticks away, and as she becomes dangerously obsessed with obtaining the book, she finds herself drawn into a dire conflict that has been slowly burning for centuries. Alchemical mysteries, cults devoted to immortality, and billionaires seeking to extend their lives by any means possible oppose her at every turn.  

With the shadows of mortality closing in tight, Sophie must utilize all her cunning and wits to outsmart not only those that seek The Book of Blue Daggers, but to outplay and unlock the reality shattering secret hidden deep within the pages of the book itself.
