Big Chair Story Time with Kim Howard

Join Indiana author Kim Howard at Indy Reads for a very special Big Chair Story Time! Kim will read her newest children’s book Grace and Box and her picture book Do Mommies Ever Sleep? for our youngest readers and their families!
This event is for audiences of all ages.
Proceeds from sales at Indy Reads support the more than 400 adult students in our Community Classrooms!
Grace and Box
Grace and Box have become fast friends. Box delivered a refrigerator earlier in the week and by the end of it, Grace and Box had already been to space, gone camping, and explored the depths of the sea together. But on Sunday, Grace notices something’s wrong with her buddy. Box has some rips and crumples that bandages, ice packs, and rest on the couch can’t seem to heal. Grace certainly doesn’t want these adventures to end, so she is determined to fix Box so that they can continue their play together!
Kim Howard is a children’s book author and former teacher. Her debut picture book GRACE AND BOX was the winner of the 2022 Indiana Authors Awards in the Children’s category. Her second picture book DO MOMMIES EVER SLEEP? was released in March 2024 and was selected as an Editor’s Pick by Amazon editors. She enjoys doing author visits to schools and libraries and inspiring future generations of writers. She has her Ph.D. in Curriculum Studies from Indiana University and previously taught sixth grade.
