Book-to-Film Club with Kan-Kan Cinema: Jurassic Park

Join us for a free book club and discussion after the film led by Molly Sweets. There will also be a costume contest with a prize package from Indy Reads and Kan-Kan.

Molly Sweets is a life-long dinosaur enthusiast. She had childhood dreams of being a paleontologist but with her severe asthma, she was forced to abandon Brontosaurs for bronchospasms.

A graduate of Indiana University at Indianapolis, she has an English degree with a Concentration in Film Studies and Theory and a minor in Literature so it’s unsurprising that her love of dinosaurs extends to Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park. Over the years, she has worn out three trade paperbacks of the novel and her original VHS copy of the film (replaced with a DVD copy, the first DVD she purchased). The dinosaur devotion doesn’t stop there. Molly is a fervent gamer and has over a dozen dinosaur-themed games, as well as having spent (number redacted) hours playing Jurassic World Evolution and its sequel.

Aside from prehistory, Molly has a passion for reading, gaming, medieval calligraphy and illumination, and crochet.
