Palestinian Liberation: A Facilitated Community Discussion

Join Jewish Voice for Peace Indiana for an all-ages facilitated discussion on Palestinian liberation on February 1st at 6pm.

Indy Reads is honored to welcome Jewish Voice for Peace Indiana to facilitate a discussion on Palestinian liberation in our community space on February 1st at 6pm. The program for the event is as follows:

1. Welcome
2. Watch: Adults and teens are invited to watch a short video from PBS News Hour with an overview of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
3. Reflect: After the 10-minute video, participants will get into breakout groups to discuss reflections and generate questions.
4. Discuss: Two members of our community, one identifying as Palestinian and one as Jewish, will help facilitate a group discussion.
6. Wrap-Up: We’ll end with an action item that gives participants an easy access point to begin or continue their outward support of Palestinian liberation.
7. Community engagement and nourishment: Folks are invited to eat, chat, and get to know each other.

Youth/children will be welcomed to contribute to a banner project and engage in writing/crafting activities throughout the program.
